Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh tuna steaks about 2 steaks, ½ inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cucumber diced
  • 2 cups mixed salad greens
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add the tuna steaks and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if desired.
  4. Remove from heat and let rest.
  5. In a bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard. Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. In a large salad bowl, combine the cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and mixed greens. Toss gently to combine.
  7. To serve, slice the tuna steaks and place them on a plate alongside the salad.
  8. Drizzle the creamy garlic sauce over the tuna and garnish with chopped parsley.
  9. Serve with avocado slices on the side.
