  • 1 teaspoon Sugar or honey/agave
  • 1 cup Broth (vegetable or chicken)
For Garnishing
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro (chopped)
  • 2 stalks Green Onions (sliced)

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse your white fish fillets under cold water, then pat them dry gently with a paper towel.
  2. Choose a heatproof plate or shallow dish that fits comfortably inside your steamer.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, sliced Thai chilies, lime juice, fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and broth. Whisk until sugar dissolves.
  4. Pour the lime-garlic sauce generously over the fish fillets. Allow to marinate for up to 15 minutes if desired.
  5. Set up your steamer and fill it with water without touching the dish with the fish. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Place the dish with the marinated fish inside the steamer and cover tightly. Steam for 10 to 12 minutes.
  7. Carefully remove the dish from the steamer and drizzle more lime-garlic sauce over the fish.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro and sliced green onions before serving.
  9. Serve immediately with jasmine rice and additional lime wedges.
