Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or set your grill to medium heat. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Bring water to a rolling boil. Parboil sweet potato cubes for 5–7 minutes until fork-tender yet firm.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together brown sugar, maple syrup or honey, olive oil or melted butter, cinnamon, cayenne, and garlic powder until smooth.
  4. Toss the cooled sweet potato cubes in the glaze until fully coated.
  5. Assemble skewers by wrapping bacon slices around each sweet potato cube or alternating them.
  6. Place skewers on the prepared baking sheet or grill and cook for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Brush with more glaze during the last 5 minutes of cooking for a glossy finish.
  8. Let skewers rest for a few minutes before serving warm with dipping sauces.
