  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic or garlic powder

  • 4 pieces Chicken Thighs or chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
For the Slaw
  • 4 cups Shredded Cabbage green or red
  • 2 medium Carrots or substitute with grated radishes
  • 1 medium Thin Apple Slices any crunchy apple variety
  • 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar or white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Celery Seeds optional
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Herbs (Parsley or Chives) optional garnish

Method
 

Preparation Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine apple cider, honey, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer. Let thickens for about 10-12 minutes.
  2. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Place them skin-side down in the skillet and sear for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium, pour the apple cider glaze over the chicken, and spoon it gently until it caramelizes.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, carrots, and thin apple slices. In a separate small bowl, whisk together apple cider vinegar, celery seeds, salt, and pepper. Drizzle over slaw and toss.
  5. Serve Sticky Apple Cider Chicken alongside the crisp autumn slaw.
