Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook the shell pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, drain, and set aside.
  2. Pat the steak cuts dry and season generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
  3. In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steak bites for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
  4. Lower heat, melt 4 tablespoons of butter in the same skillet, and sauté 2-3 minced garlic cloves until fragrant.
