Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start boiling the water in a large pot over high heat, adding salt once it reaches a rolling boil.
  2. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions for 8 to 10 minutes. Reserve one cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic and red pepper flakes for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add drained spaghetti to the skillet, incorporate reserved pasta water, and toss for 1 to 2 minutes.
  5. Fold in parsley and Parmesan cheese, season with salt and freshly ground black pepper, combining well.
  6. In a bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  7. Slice Italian bread lengthwise and spread the garlic butter mixture generously on both halves.
