Method
- In a bowl, whisk eggs and milk together. In a separate bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each steak in flour, dip in egg mixture, then coat again in flour.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high. Fry steaks until golden brown, about 3–4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
- For gravy, melt butter in the skillet. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute. Slowly add milk, stirring until thickened. Season to taste.
- Serve steaks hot with generous spoonfuls of gravy.
Notes
- Use cube steak for best results as it’s already tenderized
- Let the breading set on the steaks for 5 minutes before frying to improve adhesion
- Serve with mashed potatoes or biscuits
