Marinate and Cook the Steak
- In a medium bowl, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, and brown sugar until well combined. Place skirt steak in a resealable bag, coating it thoroughly with the marinade. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade, letting excess drip off, and sear for 2.5 to 3 minutes per side until browned.
- Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing against the grain into thin strips.
Prepare the Relish
- Finely dice roasted red peppers, red onion, and garlic. Combine in a bowl with parsley, oregano, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
Serve
- Arrange sliced skirt steak on a plate and spoon the roasted red pepper relish over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions if desired.
