For the Coleslaw
  • 3 cups Coleslaw Mix Can be store-bought or homemade.
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt can be used as a lighter alternative.
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
For the Wrap
  • 4 large Flour Tortillas Alternate options: whole wheat or low-carb tortillas for a healthier twist.
Optional Add-ins
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro
  • 1 medium Avocado
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Equipment

  • medium bowl
  • separate bowl
  • Skillet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken breast with your favorite BBQ sauce, ensuring the chicken is evenly coated. This should take about 2 minutes. Set the mixture aside to let the flavors meld while you prepare the coleslaw.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper. Stir well for about 1-2 minutes until everything is evenly incorporated.
  3. Lay a flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. You can warm it slightly in a skillet for 15 seconds to make it even more flexible.
  4. Spoon a generous amount of the BBQ chicken mixture down the center of the tortilla, leaving about 2 inches on each side for folding.
  5. Next, add a hearty scoop of the prepared coleslaw mixture right on top of the BBQ chicken, aiming for about a cup of coleslaw.
  6. If desired, sprinkle fresh cilantro, avocado slices, and shredded cheddar cheese over the coleslaw.
  7. Carefully fold the sides of the tortilla inwards, then roll it tightly from the bottom to the top to enclose the filling.
  8. Continue assembling your wraps with the remaining tortillas and filling. Place them seam-side down on a plate.
  9. Finally, cut each wrap in half diagonally for a beautiful presentation and serve immediately.
