Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and boil water for a bain marie.
  2. Grease four ramekins with butter.
  3. Fill each ramekin with crème fraîche, heavy cream, or yogurt to about one-third full.
  4. Crack one egg into each ramekin without breaking the yolk.
  5. Top with crumbled goat cheese and sprinkle with chives, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  6. Place the ramekins in a baking dish and pour boiling water halfway up the sides.
  7. Bake for 14-16 minutes until the whites are set and yolks jiggle slightly.
