Preparation Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of sriracha, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1 tablespoon of ketchup. Mix until smooth and set aside.
- In another bowl, marinate 1 pound of shrimp with 1 teaspoon of red chili powder, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, ½ teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and the beaten egg.
- Prepare a dredging mixture with ½ cup of all-purpose flour, ¼ cup of cornstarch, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Heat sufficient cooking oil in a deep frying pan to around 350°F (175°C).
- Coat each marinated shrimp in the dredging mixture and shake off excess flour.
- Fry the coated shrimp in batches for 3-4 minutes until golden-brown and crispy.
- In a large serving bowl, toss the fried shrimp with the spicy creamy sauce until well-coated.
- Serve the shrimp on a bed of lettuce, garnished with spring onions and sesame seeds.
