Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter Margarine can be used as an alternative.
For the Filling
  • 16 oz Cream Cheese Can substitute with mascarpone.
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar Granulated sugar can be used.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Almond extract can be an alternative.
  • 8 oz Semi-Sweet/Dark Chocolate Use high-quality chocolate.
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream Coconut cream can be used for non-dairy.
For the Ganache
  • 8 oz Chopped Semi-Sweet Chocolate Dark chocolate can also be used.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Full-fat coconut milk can be an alternative.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Crush Oreo cookies into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter. Press into the bottom of a springform pan and chill for 30 minutes.
  2. Melt the semi-sweet or dark chocolate and let cool. Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in the melted chocolate.
  3. Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold into the chocolate mixture.
  4. Spread the filling over the chilled crust, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
  5. Make ganache by heating heavy cream, then pour over chopped chocolate and stir until smooth. Let cool long enough to thicken slightly.
  6. Drizzle ganache over the cheesecake and chill for an additional 30-60 minutes before serving.
