Step-by-Step Instructions for Blackberry Sage Iced Tea
  1. Bring 1 cup of filtered water to a gentle simmer in a small saucepan. Add sage leaves and steep for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add 1 cup of fresh or frozen blackberries into the sage-infused water, gently mash them to release sweetness.
  3. Remove from heat, strain the mixture into a heatproof container, and stir in 2 tablespoons of maple syrup and the juice of half a lemon, along with 1 cup of cold water.
  4. Cover and chill the container in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
