Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled
  • 4 ounces white chocolate chopped
  • 4 ounces blue candy melts
  • 2 ounces dark chocolate chopped
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil optional, for smooth melting
  • Sprinkles red, white, and blue

Method

  1. Wash and dry the strawberries thoroughly. Make sure they are completely dry to ensure the chocolate adheres well.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate and 1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
  3. Dip half of each strawberry into the melted white chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. In a separate bowl, melt the blue candy melts using the same microwave method as the white chocolate. Dip the other half of each strawberry into the blue candy melts and place them back on the baking sheet.
  5. In another bowl, melt the dark chocolate using the same method. Drizzle the melted dark chocolate over the strawberries for a decorative touch.
  6. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the red, white, and blue sprinkles over the strawberries.
  7. Refrigerate the strawberries for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set before serving.
