Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Method

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Rub the seasoning blend evenly on both sides of the chicken.
  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes on one side, undisturbed.
  3. Flip and Cook Through: Turn the chicken over and cook for another 5-6 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  4. Rest and Serve: Remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • To ensure even cooking, pound thicker chicken breasts to an even thickness before seasoning.
  • Let the chicken rest before slicing to keep it juicy.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
