Sear the Chicken – Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces, season with salt, pepper, and dried Italian herbs. Cook for 6-8 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Garlic – In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.
Deglaze & Cook Gnocchi – Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan for extra flavor. Add the gnocchi, bring to a simmer, and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gnocchi softens.
Make the Creamy Sauce – Reduce heat to medium-low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir gently and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken.
Combine & Finish – Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Taste & Serve – Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed. Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately
