- In a mixing bowl, combine hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, Chinese cooking wine, dark soy sauce, white sugar, sesame oil, and white pepper. Whisk until well blended and smooth.
- Place a large skillet over high heat and add a tablespoon of cooking oil. Heat for about 1-2 minutes until shimmers.
- Add minced garlic and finely chopped onion to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and onion turns translucent.
