Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large pot, combine 10 cups of filtered water, ½ chopped large pineapple, and a 2-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced.
  2. Position the pot over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a soft boil, stirring occasionally, about 10–15 minutes.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, allowing the mixture to simmer gently for 45 minutes.
  4. After simmering, turn off the heat and stir in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice along with your choice of sweetener, adjusting to taste.
  5. Ladle the warm tea into cups or mugs, and relish each sip. Serve immediately or keep warm for guests.
