Ingredients
  

  • pounds ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 small green bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Extra cheese for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment or grease well.
  2. In a large bowl, combine beef, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, pepper, garlic powder, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper.
  3. Fold in cheese gently. Shape into a loaf and place in prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 40–45 minutes. Top with extra cheese and broil for 2–3 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  5. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

  • Add mushrooms or red peppers for extra cheesesteak flair.
  • Serve with hoagie rolls or mashed potatoes.
