- Start by washing and slicing 2 cups of fresh strawberries. In a medium saucepan, combine the strawberries with 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of water. Cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened. Strain and cool.
- Bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat, add 3-4 black tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in 1/4 cup of granulated sugar until dissolved. Cool completely.
- In a large pitcher, mix together the cooled strawberry syrup and brewed tea. Add 2 cups of cold water and 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. Stir well.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled Strawberry Iced Tea over the ice. Garnish with mint leaves and sliced strawberries before serving.
