Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by washing and slicing 2 cups of fresh strawberries. In a medium saucepan, combine the strawberries with 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of water. Cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened. Strain and cool.
  2. Bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat, add 3-4 black tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in 1/4 cup of granulated sugar until dissolved. Cool completely.
  3. In a large pitcher, mix together the cooled strawberry syrup and brewed tea. Add 2 cups of cold water and 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. Stir well.
  4. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled Strawberry Iced Tea over the ice. Garnish with mint leaves and sliced strawberries before serving.
