Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Add sliced beef and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over high heat, add vegetable oil, and swirl to coat. Once shimmering, add marinated beef in a single layer. Sear for 1-2 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add more oil if necessary, then sauté bell peppers and onions for 3-4 minutes until tender yet crisp.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about one minute until fragrant.
  5. Return seared beef to the skillet, add broth or water, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through and sauce thickens.
  6. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed, serve hot, optionally garnished with fresh herbs.
