  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, and lemon juice. Toss to coat and set aside to marinate for about 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until just combined. The batter will be slightly lumpy.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  6. Spoon the marinated peaches and their juices evenly over the batter.
  7. Sprinkle the ground cinnamon on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
