Method
- In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
- Add flour, matcha, baking powder, and salt. Mix until combined.
- Chill dough for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet.
- Roll dough into balls, then coat in powdered sugar.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- The chilling step is key to getting perfect crinkles. For deeper green color, use ceremonial grade matcha.
