Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 can 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts optional, such as walnuts or pecans

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the shredded coconut over the crust.
  4. Next, layer the semi-sweet chocolate chips and butterscotch chips over the coconut. If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts on top.
  5. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the entire mixture, ensuring it covers all the ingredients.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
