Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Prepare Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water at 110°F with sugar, stirring gently until dissolved. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let it sit for 5-7 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Combine Mixtures: Once the yeast mixture is frothy, pour it into the flour mixture along with olive oil. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Knead Dough: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  6. Incorporate Cheese: Punch the dough down, transfer to a floured surface, and knead in the mozzarella and Parmesan until evenly distributed.
  7. Shape and Second Rise: Shape the dough into a loaf, place in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let it rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F. Brush the loaf with melted butter and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool & Serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then on a wire rack. Slice and serve with fresh parsley on top.
