  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg, and ½ teaspoon of salt. Whisk until blended.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together ½ cup of melted unsalted butter, ½ cup of raw honey, and 3 large eggs until smooth.
  4. Stir in ½ cup of freshly squeezed orange juice, the zest from 2 oranges, and 2 tablespoons of grated fresh ginger into your wet mixture.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula, mixing just until no more flour is visible.
