Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to create two rectangles.
  3. Spread Nutella on one rectangle, leaving a ½-inch border, and sprinkle mini chocolate chips.
  4. Place the second pastry rectangle over the first, chocolate side down, and seal the edges.
  5. Slice into 8 equal strips and twist each strip 2-3 times, then place on the baking sheet.
  6. Whisk one egg and brush the egg wash over each pastry. Sprinkle with turbinado sugar if using.
  7. Bake for 14-16 minutes until golden brown, then cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
