Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the marinade ingredients to prepare the marinade.
  2. Coat the chicken thighs in the prepared marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes and up to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Heat vegetable oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, then sear the chicken thighs for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, checking for an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. While the chicken is baking, pour the remaining marinade into a saucepan, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Remove the chicken from the oven and brush the thickened glaze over each piece before serving.
