Ingredients
  

  • cream cheese
  • sugar
  • eggs
  • vanilla extract
  • phyllo dough
  • butter melted
  • crushed pistachios
  • cinnamon
  • honey
  • water
  • lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F
  2. Layer buttered phyllo sheets and pistachios in a springform pan
  3. Mix cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla, then pour over the phyllo layers
  4. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until set
  5. Simmer honey, water, and lemon juice to make syrup
  6. Pour syrup over cheesecake while still warm
  7. Cool completely before serving

Notes

  • Use walnuts or a mix of nuts if desired
  • Syrup can be infused with rose water for a floral note
  • Best made a day ahead to let flavors meld
