  • 1 Ziploc Bag For storing the hot mixture.

Equipment

  • blender
  • Medium saucepan
  • Fine Mesh Strainer
  • Ice Cream Maker
  • large bowl

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of whole milk, whisking until smooth and free of lumps.
  2. Fill a large bowl with ice water and place a Ziploc bag inside, ensuring it's open to chill the mixture quickly.
  3. Blend 45 pieces of Bazooka bubblegum, 2 cups of whole milk, and 1 cup of heavy cream in a blender until smooth.
  4. Pour the blended mixture into a medium saucepan, add 2 tablespoons of sugar and a pinch of salt. Heat over medium-high, stirring until it simmers.
  5. Once simmering, gradually whisk in the cornstarch slurry and stir for 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  6. Transfer the hot mixture into the Ziploc bag and submerge it in the ice bath. Allow it to cool for 20-30 minutes.
  7. Strain the cooled mixture through a fine mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth into a clean bowl.
  8. Pour the strained mixture into your ice cream maker and churn for 20-25 minutes until thickened.
  9. Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours until firm.
  10. Scoop the bubblegum ice cream into bowls or cones, adding sprinkles or whipped cream for extra fun.
