Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Method
 

Preheat the Oven:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
Mash the Bananas:
  1. In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
Add Wet Ingredients:
  1. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  2. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
Incorporate Dry Ingredients:
  1. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt evenly over the mixture and stir.
  2. Gradually add the flour and mix until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
Fold in Mix-ins (Optional):
  1. If using, gently fold in the chopped walnuts or chocolate chips.
Pour the Batter:
  1. Transfer the batter into the greased loaf pan and spread it evenly.
Bake the Banana Bread:
  1. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve:
  1. Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  2. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely before slicing.
