Ingredients

For the Meatballs:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
For the Garlic Parmesan Shrimp:
  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method

Prepare the Meatballs:
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, parsley, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  2. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs, placing them on a plate or baking sheet.
Air-Fry the Meatballs:
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Place the meatballs in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they are not touching.
  4. Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the meatballs are browned and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C).
  5. Once done, remove the meatballs and set them aside.
Prepare the Garlic Parmesan Shrimp:
  1. In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Air-Fry the Shrimp:
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  3. Cook for 6-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the shrimp are pink, opaque, and cooked through.
  4. Remove the shrimp from the air fryer and set aside.
Serve:
  1. Arrange the meatballs and shrimp on a serving platter.
  2. Garnish with additional chopped parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, if desired.
  3. Serve immediately as appetizers or over a bed of pasta or rice for a main course.

Notes

  • For extra juicy meatballs, avoid overmixing the ingredients.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check that meatballs reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  • Serve with marinara sauce, pasta, or a side salad for a well-rounded meal.
