Preparation Steps
- Start by washing your fresh or frozen fruit thoroughly. If needed, peel the fruits and chop them into smaller pieces for easier blending.
- Place the chopped fruit into a blender or food processor and blend until you achieve a smooth purée.
- Once your fruit purée is smooth, add the honey and lemon juice to the blender. Blend again until fully combined.
- Transfer the blended fruit mixture into a medium saucepan and place over low heat. Allow to simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring often until thickened.
- Preheat your oven to 170°F (75°C) while preparing your baking sheets with parchment paper. Pour the mixture onto the prepared sheets, spreading evenly to about 1/8-inch thickness.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 4-6 hours until dry but slightly tacky.
- When dried to the right consistency, remove from oven and let cool completely. Cut into strips and roll in parchment paper for storage.
