Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Start by washing your fresh or frozen fruit thoroughly. If needed, peel the fruits and chop them into smaller pieces for easier blending.
  2. Place the chopped fruit into a blender or food processor and blend until you achieve a smooth purée.
  3. Once your fruit purée is smooth, add the honey and lemon juice to the blender. Blend again until fully combined.
  4. Transfer the blended fruit mixture into a medium saucepan and place over low heat. Allow to simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring often until thickened.
  5. Preheat your oven to 170°F (75°C) while preparing your baking sheets with parchment paper. Pour the mixture onto the prepared sheets, spreading evenly to about 1/8-inch thickness.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 4-6 hours until dry but slightly tacky.
  7. When dried to the right consistency, remove from oven and let cool completely. Cut into strips and roll in parchment paper for storage.
