Step-by-Step Instructions for Grilled Shakshuka Pizza
  1. Preheat your oven to 550°F (or the highest setting) for at least 30 minutes for a crispy crust.
  2. In a medium skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add leeks, sweet peppers, and garlic, and sauté for about 10 minutes until soft.
  3. Stir in the quartered tomatoes and a pinch of sugar. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thick. Transfer to a baking sheet or preheated pizza stone.
  5. Spread the thickened tomato sauce evenly over the dough. Make four wells and crack an egg into each.
  6. Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese over the pizza and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until egg whites are set and yolks are runny.
  8. Once baked, let cool for a minute, garnish with parsley, and drizzle with hot sauce if desired.
