Ingredients

  • 12 thin slices of artisan bread
  • 1 rotisserie chicken breast sliced thin
  • 2 tomatoes sliced
  • 1 small head of lettuce
  • 16 slices of pre-cooked bacon
  • 8 slices of cheese your choice of cheddar, Swiss, or provolone
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • Everything but the bagel seasoning

Method

  1. If desired, toast the slices of artisan bread for a golden, crisp texture.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on one side of a slice of bread. Sprinkle it lightly with everything but the bagel seasoning.
  3. Add a lettuce leaf and two slices of tomato on top of the bread.
  4. Layer thinly sliced rotisserie chicken breast, followed by two slices of pre-cooked bacon.
  5. Place a slice of cheese on top of the bacon to add a creamy and savory element.
  6. Spread mayonnaise on one side of a second slice of bread and place it on top of the cheese, mayo side down.
  7. Repeat the layering steps to create a double-decker sandwich: mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, chicken, bacon, and cheese.
  8. Finish with a third slice of bread, mayo side down, to complete the sandwich.
  9. Cut the sandwich into halves or quarters for easier handling. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Toast Preference: Toasting the bread helps prevent sogginess and adds a delightful crunch.
  • Variations: Add avocado slices, swap the mayonnaise for ranch dressing, or use smoked turkey instead of chicken for a twist.
  • Storage: If preparing ahead, assemble the sandwich without the mayonnaise or tomatoes to prevent the bread from getting soggy. Add these just before serving.
  • Customization: Feel free to use your favorite cheese or substitute the artisan bread with whole wheat, sourdough, or gluten-free options.
