Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak cut into 1-inch cubes
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • Skewers soaked if wooden
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar.
  2. Marinate the steak cubes in the mixture for at least 1 hour.
  3. Thread steak pieces onto skewers.
  4. Grill on medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  5. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Marinate up to 24 hours for maximum flavor.
  • Great served with steamed rice or noodles.
  • Can be cooked under the broiler if no grill is available.
