  • 8 ounces Imitation Crab or real crab or shrimp
  • ¼ cup Mayonnaise or vegan mayo
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha add more for heat
For the Rice Base
  • 1 cup Warm Rice use short-grain rice
For the Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds or crushed peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions or chives
For Serving
  • to taste Soy Sauce or tamari for gluten-free
  • Wasabi optional
  • Pickled Ginger optional

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, combine ¼ cup mayonnaise and 2 tablespoons of sriracha, mixing until smooth. Gently fold in 8 ounces of chopped imitation crab and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Rinse 1 cup of short-grain rice under cold water. Combine with 1 ¼ cups water in a pot and bring to a boil. Reduce to low heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Let it steam for another 10 minutes.
  3. Divide the fluffy rice into two bowls and make a well in the center with the back of a spoon.
  4. Spoon the crab mixture over the rice, ensuring even distribution.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds and finely sliced green onions over the top.
  6. Prepare soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger on the side for serving.
