Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened salted butter and 1 cup of brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in one egg yolk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. Gradually add 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder, stirring until a thick batter forms.
  5. Transfer the batter to the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden around the edges.
  7. Cool the bars in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons of heavy cream, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
  9. Once the bars are cool, frost with the buttercream frosting.
  10. Sprinkle crushed Cadbury Mini Eggs over the frosted bars and press them gently into the frosting.
  11. Slice into squares or rectangles and serve at room temperature.
