- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened salted butter and 1 cup of brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in one egg yolk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually add 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder, stirring until a thick batter forms.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden around the edges.
- Cool the bars in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons of heavy cream, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
- Once the bars are cool, frost with the buttercream frosting.
- Sprinkle crushed Cadbury Mini Eggs over the frosted bars and press them gently into the frosting.
