Preparation Steps

- Cut the tops off the apples and core them. Brush insides with lemon juice.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Blend until smooth.
- Fold in graham cracker crumbs and chopped nuts into the filling.
- Stuff each apple with the cheesecake filling, packing it firmly.
- Place the filled apples in the baking dish. Drizzle with melted butter.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes until tender.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to brown the tops.
- Remove and let cool slightly before serving with whipped cream.
