Step-by-Step Instructions for Strawberry Danish
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) as per package instructions for the puff pastry.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry until about 1/8-inch thickness and cut into 4-inch squares.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, granulated sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Place a spoonful of cream cheese filling in the center of each pastry square and fold corners over the filling to seal.
