Preparation Steps
- Start by washing and pitting 3-4 ripe peaches. Chop these juicy fruits into small pieces.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped peaches, ½ cup of sugar (or sweetener), and 2 cups of water. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until boiling.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the mix simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the mixture to cool for about 30 minutes. Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve.
- In a pitcher, combine 1 cup of the peach syrup with ⅓ cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 3 cups of cold water. Stir well.
- Fill serving glasses with ice cubes and pour the lemonade over. Garnish with peach slices, fresh mint, or lemon wheels.
