Step‑by‑Step Instructions for High-Protein Bagel Bites
- In a mixing bowl, combine gluten-free flour, baking powder, protein powder, and salt. Whisk to blend the dry ingredients thoroughly for about 1 minute.
- Incorporate the plain unsweetened Greek yogurt into the dry mix, stirring until a sticky dough forms. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
- Lightly flour your work surface to prevent sticking. Divide the dough into 10 equal pieces, rolling each into a smooth ball over about 5 minutes. Flatten each ball into a disc, allowing space for your cream cheese filling.
- Make an indentation in the center of each disc and place about 1 teaspoon of cream cheese inside. Fold the edges over the filling and pinch securely to seal.
- Prepare the egg wash by beating an egg in a small bowl. Brush each bagel bite gently with the egg wash.
- Generously sprinkle everything but the bagel seasoning over the top of each bite.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes. Arrange the bagel bites on a plate.
- Carefully place the bagel bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Remove the bagel bites from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes on a cooling rack.
