  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil can substitute with avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt use sea salt or kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly cracked
For the Glaze
  • 2 tablespoons Gochujang use mild or medium varieties
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil can substitute with toasted sunflower oil
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce use tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon Honey maple syrup for vegan option
  • 1 tablespoon Mirin can substitute with rice vinegar and sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Grated Ginger fresh is best
For Garnish
  • 2 stalks Green Onion can substitute with chives

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C). Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the preheated baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil, sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  3. Bake the salmon in the oven for 7 minutes until it starts to flake.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together gochujang, sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, mirin, and grated ginger until smooth.
  5. Remove the salmon and coat each fillet with the glaze.
  6. Increase oven heat to broil and cook the salmon for an additional 5-7 minutes until the glaze bubbles.
  7. Let salmon rest briefly before garnishing with chopped green onions. Serve with rice and steamed vegetables.
