Step-by-Step Instructions for Corn Rice
- Rinse the rice under cold water until water runs clear, about 3-4 times.
- Transfer rinsed rice to rice cooker pot and fill with water up to the '1 cup rice' line.
- Shuck and cut the kernels off 2 ears of fresh corn, then set aside.
- Layer corn kernels on top of the rice, sprinkle with salt, and do not mix.
- Snap corn cobs in half and layer on top of the corn kernels.
- Close the cooker lid and select normal cooking setting.
- Allow cooking cycle to complete, usually taking about 20-30 minutes.
- Let it rest for an additional 10 minutes after cooking.
- Open lid, remove corn cobs, and fluff rice with a rice paddle.
