Ingredients
Method
- Add Ingredients: Place chicken in the slow cooker. In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, ginger, vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Pour sauce over the chicken.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
- Thicken Sauce (Optional): Remove chicken and set aside. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce. Cook on high for another 15 minutes or until thickened. Return chicken to the pot and coat with sauce.
- Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over rice or noodles.
Notes
- Chicken thighs stay moist and flavorful, but you can use chicken breasts for a leaner version.
- Adjust sweetness by using a little less honey or adding a splash of lime juice.
- Great for meal prep—leftovers reheat beautifully!
