Dredge each chicken cutlet in flour, dip it into the egg, and coat it thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken cutlets for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
Place the fried chicken cutlets in the prepared baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve hot with pasta or a side of your choice.
