Preparation Steps
  1. Start by filling a large bowl with cold water to soak the sliced potatoes.
  2. Carefully slice the Yukon Gold potatoes into ½-inch thick slabs using chopsticks or wooden dowels as a guide.
  3. Immerse the sliced potatoes in cold water and let them soak for 30 minutes to 2 hours to remove excess starch.
  4. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and position the rack in the center.
  5. Drain the soaked potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry with paper towels.
  6. Mix melted butter with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper and brush generously on the potatoes.
  7. Arrange the seasoned potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Flip and brush with more mixture, then bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and finish with flaky salt and chopped parsley before serving.
