Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Eggnog Jam
  1. Whisk together eggnog, granulated sugar, egg yolks, and cornstarch in a medium saucepan until smooth. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously.
  2. Cook for 7–9 minutes, whisking constantly until thickened to a pudding-like consistency. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in ground nutmeg, unsalted butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  4. Strain the Eggnog Jam through a fine mesh strainer into a clean bowl or jar for ultra-smooth texture.
