Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 12 oz Pasta Penne, fusilli, or rigatoni preferred
For the Chicken
  • 1 lb Chicken Breast Cut into bite-sized pieces
For the Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil Can substitute with vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tbsp Dried Italian Herbs
  • 28 oz Crushed Tomatoes Essential base for sauce
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Can substitute with half-and-half
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
For the Cheeses
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Can substitute with Fontina or Gouda
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Can substitute with Pecorino Romano
For Garnish
  • to taste Fresh Basil Leaves Optional
  • to taste Red Pepper Flakes Optional for heat

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add pasta and cook for 10 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and herbs. Cook until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat, add garlic to the skillet, and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes to thicken.
  5. Add heavy cream, stir, and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Adjust seasoning.
  6. Combine cooked chicken with sauce, heat for 2 minutes.
  7. Add reserved pasta to skillet and toss to coat.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over pasta, stirring until melted.
  9. Garnish with basil and red pepper flakes, serve hot.
