Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 300 g Pasta Choose penne, fusilli, or rigatoni to best hold the creamy sauce.
For the Chicken
  • 300 g Chicken Breast Cut into bite-sized pieces for swift cooking.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Adds richness; can be swapped for vegetable oil.
For the Sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian Herbs
  • 400 g Crushed Tomatoes Can.
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream Half-and-half is a lighter alternative.
  • Salt and Pepper To taste.
For the Cheeses
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Shredded.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated.
For Garnish
  • Fresh Basil Leaves For garnish.
  • Red Pepper Flakes Optional.

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 10 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic over medium heat for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in crushed tomatoes, stir and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
  8. Sprinkle in mozzarella and parmesan cheese, stirring until melted.
  9. Serve garnished with fresh basil leaves and optional red pepper flakes.
